Bide
Tell it what you want to buy and by when. It checks the shop's product page a few times a day and sends a notification to your phone when the price hits a new low, when it goes up, and shortly before your deadline.
What it can and can't do
- It reads the sticker price on the product page. Delivery, member offers, vouchers, free gifts and cashback aren't included, so check the basket total before you pay.
- It looks a few times a day. A sale that lasts an hour can slip past.
- Nobody knows what a price will do next, and Bide doesn't guess. It tells you what it has seen, and keeps a copy of each page as proof.
- A change only counts once a second check a little later sees the same price.
- Some shops block automated checks. When a check fails, the watch says so and shows when it last worked.
When it sends a notification
- New low: the price is below where it started and below anything seen since.
- Price up: the price rose, in case you'd rather buy before it climbs further.
- Deadline: 14 days and 2 days before your date, with the best price seen.
- Check broken: three checks in a row failed, so the prices may be out of date.
Bide is private and accounts are by invitation.
